Approximately 11,000 linear feet of new 16" water main with Union Pacific Railroad Bore. The conclusions and recommendations contained in this report are based on our site visits to the project site and on the soil samples gathered from two borings (W-1 and W-2) performed by BEA on December 23, 2024. The borings were drilled along or within the proposed utility alignment and extended to a termination depth of approximately 10 feet below the existing ground surface elevations. We were requested to drill at two (2) locations deemed accessible to our truck-mounted drilling rig. This report presents the results of our subsurface exploration and engineering analysis for the proposed waterline alignment along the Union Pacific Railroad in Maxwell, Texas. The improvements extend a total of approximately 9,000 lineal feet from Railroad Street to approximately Jolly Road and then south along Cistern Road to Highway 142. The approximate site location is shown on the Site Vicinity Map provided in the Appendix. Based on the limited details made available to us during preparation of our report, the proposed project consists of the installation of a 16-inch waterline for Maxwell SUD. It is our understanding that the alignment is to extend from the intersection of the UPRR and Railroad Street to the intersection of Cistern Road and Highway 142. It is our understanding the project will include cut-and-cover excavation, so no trenchless excavation is anticipated at this time. This item shall govern the furnishing of all materials, equipment, incidentals and completion of all construction required to install complete and ready for operation all valves and appurtenances as shown in the Drawings and specified herein or as directed by the Engineer. The equipment shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Check Valves 2. Gate Valves 3. Butterfly Valves 4. Ball Valves 5. Altitude Valves 6. Valve Boxes and Vaults
