The project involves restoration and improvement work at Solway Park and the associated boat ramp located on the Clinch River at Edgemoor Road in Oak Ridge. Scope includes rehabilitating the existing boat ramp for improved low-water usability, replacing the access ramp and courtesy dock, redesigning traffic flow, reconfiguring parking with green lot techniques to increase capacity, maintaining the accessible fishing pier, and adding ADA-compliant features such as accessible parking, a new trail, transfer station, and kayak launch. Habitat restoration efforts include shoreline stabilization and invasive species removal. The City of Oak Ridge is requesting $2,600,000 with a $650,000 match.
