Renovation of a municipal facility in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Contractors are invited to bid on the Caledonia County Courthouse Roof Replacement Project at 1126 Main Street in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The project consists of the replacement of the roof over the 1999 addition, which was damaged in the July 2024 flood. The scope includes complete removal of the existing roofing system down to the deck, including all canopies, cants, flashings, scuppers, and roof accessories. The existing deck and substructures are to be prepared according to the new roofing manufacturer's recommendations. The new system will include installation of a roof board, sloped and flat insulation, coverboard, final roofing membrane, and all related roof components. Rigid foam board insulation must be included to meet Vermont State energy standards (CBES) and to provide proper roof slope to prevent water ponding. Bidders must submit electronic bids as a single, digitally searchable PDF attachment via email. Full bonding is required. The submission must include bonding requirements, technical response, references, price schedule, and a signed certificate of compliance. All communication must go through the designated state contact.
