Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Santa Ana, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project consists of the Building K Canopy Project at Santa Ana College. Bidders must possess a B - General Building contractor's license and all subcontractors must be licensed to perform the work specified. Bidders are required to submit a list of designated subcontractors on the provided form. Bidders and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work under Labor Code section 1725.5. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the District to the specified office address. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid is required. Prior to commencement of the work, the awarded contractor must provide two Labor & Material Payment Bonds and a Performance Bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements. The Contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid. There is a Good Faith Participation Goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) of three percent (3%) of the project value. Withdrawal of bids is not allowed for 90 calendar days after bid opening.
