The work consists of the construction of flooding improvements at two locations in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. At Gray Street, the project involves building an infiltration system to reduce flooding on NC-210 - Island Drive, including approximately 614 linear feet of 15" reinforced concrete pipe, 40 linear feet of 4" PVC force main, three standard NCDOT traffic-bearing drop inlets, a sand separator and pump station, electrical controls and panel, and minor utility relocations. At New River Inlet Road, the project involves constructing a level spreader with vegetated filter strip and permeable pavers at the North Topsail Beach Town Park to reduce flooding on New River Inlet Road. This includes approximately 235 linear feet of 12" reinforced concrete pipe, one standard NCDOT traffic-bearing drop inlet, one standard NCDOT type D drop inlet, approximately 375 linear feet of shallow swale, 1,750 square yards of permeable pavers, and minor utility relocations. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the bid form. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Only registered plan holders may bid as a general contractor. Registration with the specified platform is required to obtain bid documents and to be included on the official plan holder's list.
