Site work for a water / sewer project in Markham, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work generally consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 1,200 lineal feet of combined sewers of various sizes, storm sewers, associated manholes and inlet structures, restoration, and all incidentals, as detailed in the plans and specifications titled "Markham Manor Combined Sewer Replacement Phase I." Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, bank draft, or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Markham, in an amount of not less than 5% of the proposal. The City of Markham reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days from opening or will be subject to forfeit the 5% Bid Bond provided. Work is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Project Act as enacted by P.A. 95-0635. Submission of monthly certified payrolls to the City of Markham will be required. QA date - 2-4-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
