This sources sought notice seeks qualified and experienced firms capable of performing jetty maintenance and maintenance dredging for the Milford Haven Federal Navigation Project in Mathews County, Virginia. Work includes removing existing stone from approximately 330 linear feet of jetty, driving vinyl sheet piles along the jetty centerline to a depth of -14.0 feet MLLW, placing new bedding stone and VDOT Type I armor stone, and increasing the jetty elevation to +6.0 feet MLLW. Dredging will include removing approximately 25,000 cubic yards of sandy material from the 200-foot-wide channel between Stations 32+50 and 45+90 to a required depth of -10.0 feet MLLW with 1 foot of allowable overdepth. Dredged material will be beneficially reused at two beach placement sites: Narrows Point, accommodating approximately 4,000 cubic yards, and Queens Creek, accommodating approximately 21,000 cubic yards. Work will be issued as a base-bid-only structure including mobilization and demobilization, with a period of performance of approximately 300 calendar days beginning within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range in accordance with FAR 36.204(g) is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000, and the applicable NAICS code is 237990. Interested firms are requested to provide capability information regarding similar dredging, jetty, breakwater, revetment, and marine construction experience, bonding capacity, contract size limits, familiarity with EM 385-1-1, and business socio-economic status.
