The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans, structural plans, specifications, cost estimates and all other work necessary to complete the repairs of the bridge structures at Lake Street, Washington Blvd, Madison Street & Randolph Street over I-90. The proposed repairs will include, but not limited to, bridge deck overlay, beam repairs, crack and joint sealing, and concrete repairs on substructure units. The Consultant will also need to coordinate sequencing, provide a maintenance of traffic plan for the possible overlapping of the bridges and provide additional scope recommendations upon completion of the initial field visit and prepare field notes. Coordination will also be needed with I-90 at Ogden Ave & Grand Ave (currently in Phase 2) with possible overlapping MOT, for logical sequencing. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Highways (Roads and Streets) Structures (Highway: Typical) Statements of Interest, including resumes of only the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
