The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to complete asphalt crack sealing services, including but not limited to: Cleaning pavement cracks using high-pressure compressed air immediately prior to sealing Application of hot-poured rubberized asphalt crack sealant Temporary traffic control and protection of sealed areas Cleanup and final inspection Specific street locations will be designated by the City prior to commencement of work. Materials o Contractor shall use hot-poured rubberized asphalt crack sealant meeting ASTM D6690 Type II or Type III, suitable for Texas climate conditions o Sealant shall be heated using oil-jacketed equipment o Sealant shall be applied strictly within the manufacturer's recommended temperature range o Overheated, scorched, or improperly applied material will not be accepted Installation Requirements o All cracks shall be cleaned with high-pressure compressed air (minimum 90 PSI) immediately prior to sealing o Cracks must be dry and free of dust, debris, vegetation, and loose material o Sealant shall fully fill cracks and may be lightly overbanded; excessive over-application or surface pooling will not be accepted o Sealant shall cure without tracking under traffic o Work shall not be performed during unsuitable weather conditions or outside manufacturer-recommended temperature ranges Measurement & Pricing o Bidders shall submit a unit price per ton or gallon of sealant applied, inclusive of all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, and incidentals o Contractor shall provide documentation of material usage upon request Contract Amount & Authorization o Total work shall be performed on a not-to-exceed basis of $25,000 o The City intends to authorize an initial phase of work not to exceed $12,000 o Additional work may be authorized at the City's discretion based on performance, inspection results, and budget availability o The City is under no obligation to authorize or expend the full not-to-exceed amount Schedule Work shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of Notice to Proceed, subject to weather conditions and material curing requirements.
