*The bids were too high for the owner to proceed, and the project was not awarded* The project involves the construction of the Portage Inn Amphitheater, which includes building two asphalt parking areas with handicap parking, a semi-circular segmental block amphitheater, site lighting, and miscellaneous landscaping and site restoration tasks. The amphitheater wall is designated as a delegated design item and requires signed and sealed engineered drawings. 'Or equal' items are permitted if identified and approved by the engineer of record prior to bid opening. The expected duration for the project is 105 days from Notice of Proceed to Substantial Completion. The Village of Westfield is committed to equal opportunity and encourages participation from all qualified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) suppliers, contractors, and businesses. The successful bidder must make a Good Faith Effort to utilize MWBEs and provide reports on subcontractor and supplier participation. For contracts of $100,000 or more, a Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire must be submitted, and proof of Workers' Compensation and Disability Benefits Insurance or proof of exemption is required for all contractors and subcontractors. Sets of construction drawings and the project manual must be obtained from the specified website, and all interested parties must register to access or purchase documents. It is the responsibility of interested persons or organizations to cover the costs of printing hard copies. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 12 pm (noon) at Eason Hall.
