Applicable State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction Trade Codes include C033 Boilers (New Repair), C041 Insulation (Mechanical), and C077 Painting-General. Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000.00, and include Consent of Surety. Bidders must be prequalified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Building Construction, and submit required documentation including Prequalification Affidavit, Notice of Classification, certified copy of Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts, and Affidavit of No Material Adverse Change. All contractors must possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time of proposal. Bidders are required to submit a list of names and addresses of all interest holders owning 10% or more of the business entity's interest. The scope of this project is to demolish and replace in kind the two (2) existing 4,000 MBH Superior hot water heating boilers in the main boiler room of Intermediate North. Additionally, two AO Smith boilers that serve the new D-Wing addition are to be replaced as an add alternate to the base project. A second add alternate shall include the installation of a new epoxy floor covering for the Main Boiler Room. We anticipate seamlessly integrating the new boilers with existing duct and piping systems as well as a revamped boiler control system.
