The Board of Education of the Salem Central School District invites the submission of separate sealed bid proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Roof Reconstruction at Multiple School Buildings project in accordance with the plans and specifications for the category of work: ROOFING. Sealed bid proposals must be prepared in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Information for Bidders. Bidders are called to attention regarding conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. Bidders may inspect the work locations before submitting bids during regular school hours by making arrangements with School District Staff. All bidders may attend a pre-bid conference to discuss project scope and related items. Only official plan holders who obtain contract documents from the designated source will be recognized, and all addenda will be distributed through the official channels. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bids either before or after the bid opening. No bid may be withdrawn within 45 days after the bid opening. SALEM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SED NUMBER : 64-15-01-04-0-001-011 ELEMENTARY/ HIGH SCHOOL SED NUMBER : 64-15-01-04-0-002-015 The Work includes selective demolition, a single door replacement, abatement of roofing materials and interior drain bowl/piping insulation. Complete removal of old roof systems and installation of new EPDM roof system and flashings, roof deck infills, tie-in to existing EPDM and slate roof systems, drain replacement, re-insulation of drains and storm piping and installation of access panels in ceilings/soffits.
