Amtrak is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOIs) for the upcoming WUS Amtrak Passenger Facing Projects solicitation for Design-Build Services at Washington Union Station (WUS) in Washington, D.C. This Project will be a Design-Build and procured utilizing a two-step RFP. The Project will combine the following four projects and will consist of, but is not limited to, the following construction elements WUS Metropolitan Lounge Will consist of a 2-floor suite with restrooms, upgraded flooring, walls, ceilings, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, escalators, elevators, food preparation areas, PIDs, seating zones, and life safety systems WUS Ticketed Passenger Waiting Area The new space will feature a customer-focused design with upgraded flooring, walls, ceilings, MEP systems, life safety systems, PIDs, associated furniture and restroom facilities WUS APD Back of House Structural renovation of existing slab, installation of floors, walls, ceilings, MEP systems, restrooms, storage, life safety upgrades, detaining areas, and associated furniture. WUS Ticketing Window and Back of House Suite The overall intent is to reduce the number of existing ticketing windows and offices. Remaining area will be reconfigured for new offices and planned upgrades include modifications to walls, ceilings, floors, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, life safety systems, ticket counters, PIDs, associated furniture and customer assistance areas.
