Site work and paving for an educational facility in Concord, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a 17,000-square-foot educational facility.

**As of February 27, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work consists of Central Cabarrus High School Parking Lot Improvements, which include various combinations of patching existing pavement, paving, and thermoplastic pavement markings for approximately 17,000 square yards of parking lot and roadway. Bids will be received on a unit price basis and all work shall be in accordance with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, dated January 2024. There is a 10 percent minority business enterprise goal for this project. All bidders must be licensed contractors with a "Highway," "Building," or "Unclassified" license in the State of North Carolina, and all subcontractors must also be licensed as required. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bidder's maximum bid must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond. Contractors and all subcontractors will be required to conform to the labor standards employment requirements set forth in the contract documents. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will award to the lowest responsible bidder, considering quality, performance, and time specified for performance of the work. The contractor must use complete sets of bidding documents to prepare bids and will assume full responsibility for site examinations and investigations as required by the documents. The basis of bid will be the sum of the products of estimated quantities and unit prices for each item. The contingency, if used, will require a negotiated scope of work and price. QA date - 2-13-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
