The contractor will furnish, install, and commission new heating equipment and a new air conditioning unit at the Virginia Indoor Tennis & Pickleball Facility. The work includes removing the existing cage heater (leaving the concrete base in place), installing three Reznor Model UBXC-350 unit heaters on the west end of the building, providing and installing all required mounting brackets, suspension/hanging hardware, gas piping, venting, controls, and thermostats for system operation, installing a 5,000 CFM make-up air unit and a 5,000 CFM wall exhaust fan for cross-flow ventilation, installing all necessary ducting, furnishing and installing a 1.5-ton Trane A/C system for the front office and entrance area, obtaining permits and completing inspections, and providing at least a one-year warranty. Electrical work will be handled by a third-party contractor hired by the City. Quotes must be submitted in writing and include proposed lump-sum pricing (with any conditions or assumptions), product specifications (or any proposed variances), warranty and service information, a proposed project schedule with start and completion dates, three references for similar work, proof of insurance, evidence of prevailing wage compliance if required, and a bid bond/performance bond if the project cost exceeds $175,000 (or verification of compliance for projects between $50,000 and $175,000). Quotes must remain valid for at least 30 days after submission. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive informalities, and modify or cancel the request at any time. Submission of a quote indicates acknowledgment and understanding of these requirements. The selected contractor and the City must execute a contract prior to commencement of work.
