The City of Pierz is accepting sealed bids for the 2026 Pierz Park Playground Project. Sealed bids must be received at Pierz City Hall, 101 Main Street S., Pierz, MN 56364, until 4:30 p.m. on February 17, 2026, at which time bidding will be closed. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 4:45 p.m. on February 17, 2026, at City Hall. Bid specifications ancd required forms are available by contacting the designated city representative. The City of Pierz reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the best interest of the City. The bid submitted must include the cost of the playground equipment, drain tile, playground border, and engineered wood fiber as well as installation of such. All existing structures will have been removed and the site prepared for installation. We are looking at spending no more than $265,000.00 on the total cost of the project. Anticipated start date would be Spring 2026 with completion to be done 2 weeks from project start date. This playground will be for children ages 2 to 12 with the capacity of approximately 100 individuals. This playground equipment should include: - Swings accommodating toddlers with belted swings, children with disabilities, as well as older children. - Slides with one geared towards children with disabilities. All playground equipment must meet the following standards with appropriate documentation provided: - ASTM 1487: Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use. - CPSC: Consumer Product Safety Commission for Public Playground Safety. - ADA: Americans with Disabilities Act. - IPEMA: International Playground Equipment Manufacturer's Association. General requirements: - All submissions shall contain drawings and layouts, pictures, and complete specifications of the playground equipment. Bids shall also contain any and all material utilized. - All fasteners shall be corrosive resistant. - Copy of all warranties shall be provided. Warranties shall cover a minimum of: o Powder coating o Steal posts o Pipes, steps, loops, rails, roto-molded plastics, HDPE plastic sheeting, and steel platforms o Cables and nets - Interested parties are encouraged to submit more than one design for consideration within the bid amount.
