This project consists of asphalt milling, patching, resurfacing, and striping on Big Ridge Road South, Big Ridge Road North, Hood Road, Camp Road, Gennett Court, and Camp Road West, with additional roads potentially added or replaced at the County's discretion. The work involves approximately 165,907 SY of asphalt paving using about 20,468 tons of asphalt. All work must adhere to current Georgia Department of Transportation Standard and Supplemental Specifications as well as all applicable standards, details, and contract requirements. The County reserves the right to modify or reduce the scope based on bid pricing. Eligible bidders and subcontractors must be licensed contractors in Georgia and meet all insurance and bonding requirements. GDOT qualification is recommended. Verifying documents are required for the prime contractor before contract award and for all subcontractors before beginning work. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all bidders. Bids must be typed or printed in ink and submitted in a sealed envelope or container marked for the project. All required documents, including a "Bid Sheet" and bids on both options, must be included. Contractors must comply with E-Verify requirements and submit the required affidavit. Proposals may not be withdrawn for 30 days after opening, and the County reserves the right to waive technicalities, reject any or all bids, and make awards in the best interest of the County.
