It is the intention to competitively award to a qualified company that has demonstrated their ability for comparable work for saw cutting in Jackson County, Michigan, under the Department of Transportation. Type of Solicitation: Request for Bids (RFB) - It is the intention of Jackson County to competitively award to a qualified company that has demonstrated their ability for comparable work. Statewide Cooperative Contract: Statewide Cooperative Contract - As a result of this RFB, Jackson County will work with the Michigan Association of Counties CoPro+ program to market and extend the resulting contract to other government municipalities throughout the State of Michigan. The firm will be competitively selected as having been qualified as defined within the qualification section of this RFB. The contract will enable public municipalities to "piggyback" and purchase road signs and posts through this competitive process. Saw cutting will be performed on blacktop and concrete driveways and roads throughout Jackson County. Water is required when saw cutting to prevent dust particles from entering the atmosphere. All saw cuts will be marked out by the JCDOT before sawing is to occur. Removal of all blacktop or concrete will be the responsibility of JCDOT. Line items for saw cutting will be according to depth of concrete or blacktop as stated in attachment D. All saw cuts must reach the full depth of the concrete or blacktop. A) JCDOT will give the contractor five days' notice before work is to be performed. B) It is estimated there will between 10,000-15,000 Foot + or - of saw cutting per year. C) Contractor is responsible to E-mail a daily log of total footage saw cut each day. D) Saw cutting may be performed on State Trunklines. 1.3 PRICE Pricing as submitted by bidders on Attachment D shall be for the duration of the agreement.
