Renovation of a municipal facility in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,163-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility.
Separate sealed bids will be received for the Renovation for Claiborne County Justice Center. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at specific locations. Bidding Documents in PDF format may be obtained at no cost from designated sources. Subcontractors, vendors, and others may obtain documents by paying reproduction costs. Addenda will be emailed only to General Contractors who are Bidders of Record. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond for five percent of the bid. The successful bidder must execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. The Bid Bond shall be on AIA Document A310; Performance and Payment Bonds on AIA Form A312. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976. The envelope containing the bid must display the bidder's name, license number, license expiration, license limitation, and applicable license classification. Bids cannot be withdrawn within sixty days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Upon contract award, construction will commence as specified in the "Notice to Proceed" and be completed by the date stipulated in the Contract Documents. Contractors must prosecute the work diligently to ensure timely completion. Each bidder is responsible for reviewing the contract documents and inspecting building sites before bidding.
