The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals required to complete the improvements shown on the Specifications and Contract Documents. The work to be performed includes the demolition, removal, and replacement of the damaged netting system and chain link fencing at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course 13th hole along Lohman Lane in South Pasadena, CA. This involves demolishing and removing the existing three damaged 30-ft (above ground) metal posts, foundations to 1-ft below ground surface, approximately 5,400 SF of netting, and approximately 1,200 SF of chain link fencing. New installation includes furnishing and installing 230 LF netting system and 200 LF of 6-ft high chain link fence. New netting system post spacing, foundation and reinforcement design, and tensioning anchor locations to be determined by stamped plans. Stamped plans must be submitted to South Pasadena Building and Safety for a no-fee permit. The netting system must include a minimum of 5 new metal posts, new rope bound UV inhibitor treated polyethylene netting (weave/opening of 1-in or smaller) up to a minimum of 30 feet above ground surface (may attach to or overlap with chain link fence), all hardware must be galvanized, and the system must be properly tensioned and secured with appropriate anchors as determined by stamped plans. Final inspection will be conducted by the City project manager to ensure all installation meets required standards before final completion approval. Bidders must submit sealed bids through the City's online bid management system (PlanetBids) or as a sealed bid package. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to download, print, and verify the completeness of contract documents before submitting a bid. Bids must be prepared on the approved bid forms in conformance with the instructions to bidders and must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid. Bidders must possess a valid Class A, B, or C-13 contractor's license at the time of contract award. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. All questions regarding the project should be submitted via PlanetBids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the proposal documents. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates and compliance monitoring by the California Department of Industrial Relations.
