Lynnfield Water District Water Meter Replacement Program - Installation Services The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to install approximately 1,500 water meters and RF modules ranging in size from 5/8-inch to 3-inch. All water meters and communication modules shall be procured through a separate contract and furnished pre-wired and pre-programmed. Installation shall include removal of the existing meters and radio modules, installation of new Neptune Mach-10 ultrasonic water meters tune R900 communication modules, confirmation of a valid meter reading, and furnishing entals required to complete installations. The required contract completion period is 273 consecutive days. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of General Bid, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, Performance and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following: Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.
