Sealed bids are requested for PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1 at Barnesville High School. Bids will only be accepted from qualified contractors with a minimum of 5 years' experience, and all must provide a valid State of Ohio Business Certificate. The successful bidder is required to furnish performance and labor-material payment bonds in the full contract amount, as well as certificates of comprehensive general liability, automobile liability, and worker's compensation insurance. A certified check or bank draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to Barnesville Exempted Village School District, must be submitted with each bid, or a bid bond in the same amount from a surety company authorized in Ohio. Bid bonds or checks will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails or refuses to execute the contract within ten days of notification of acceptance. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the bid deadline. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope as "BID FOR PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 1." The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
