Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Collierville, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
A study of Sanders Creek was completed in FY 2024-2025, identifying potential sites for a future regional detention facility. As development within the basin continues, the number of suitable locations for such a facility is rapidly diminishing. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 04, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
