The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to improve the boiler plant control systems for the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center. Tasks include addressing the single-point-failure risk in the existing boiler plant master control system, separating condensate and deaerator tank level and pump controls from the plant master, and installing new localized control panels near the tank and pump systems. Work includes enhancing condensate and feedwater pump control functionality through installation of individual tank-level control panels, reworking water-level controls, combining water columns into a single column for high-high, high, and low-level alarms for the deaerator tank, and providing a common gauge glass for visual indication. Additional requirements include installing local tank-level control panels, centralizing deaerator tank pressure control into the new control panel, and delivering operational and functional local control panels, a single water-level column, and integrated pressure control to support continued steam generation and improved monitoring and safety. The contractor shall perform all tasks in accordance with VA guidelines and provide documentation and training on the new systems. Location: George E.
