Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Narrowsburg, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Be advised that there are requirements for minority and women-owned business enterprise (M/WBE) participation, with a goal of 26% for each prime contract established for this project. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to have an authorized representative from their firm in attendance at this meeting. Work generally includes: providing a new 250,000-gallon concrete tank (AWWA D110 Type III); supplying a new water tank mixer and appurtenances; constructing a new access road and performing required site work; installing a new water storage tank feed line, overflow and drain line, including all required valves, fittings, and appurtenances; constructing a new overflow catch basin, metering manhole, and valve vault (pre-cast concrete structures); providing a new electrical shed structure; performing tie-ins to the existing watermain system; providing new electrical service for new mixing equipment, lighting, and level sensors; installing a new site security chain link fence and access gate (12' wide double gate); draining and demolishing the existing water storage tank; conducting all site work and site restoration; and any other work required for project completion. All work must be coordinated with the Town of Tusten Water Department. Contractors must comply with applicable requirements set by the funding agency, and there are participation goals for minority and women-owned business enterprises. Bidders must register at the designated bid information website and are required to submit a minimum of five similar projects completed or in progress during the last ten years. The successful bidder must provide bonds and insurance as specified, comply with prevailing wage laws, ensure OSHA training certification for workers, and provide documentation of appropriate workers' compensation coverage. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to select the bid judged to assure efficient performance of the work. No bid may be withdrawn within 45 days after bid opening.
