The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is requesting proposals from qualified proponents for the design, permitting, and installation of erosion control measures along two sections of the Okanagan Rail Trail, located at approximately kilometre 4.5 and kilometre 5.6. These trail segments have experienced erosion impacts that pose a risk to long-term trail stability, user safety, and adjacent environmental values. The objective of this RFP is to retain a proponent with demonstrated experience in erosion control, environmentally sensitive design, and construction within active transportation corridors. The successful proponent will be responsible for developing site-appropriate solutions that address existing erosion issues, meet applicable regulatory requirements, and ensure the long-term sustainability and resilience of the trail, while minimizing environmental disturbance and maintaining trail functionality where feasible.
