As of April 14, 2026 the project has been awarded. Electrification of Unit Ranges. The NEW BEDFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Electrification of Unit Ranges - Dottin Place at Dottin Place I in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by C.A. CROWLEY ENGINEERING, INC.. The Project consists of but not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish/ install all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the removal of existing gas-fired ranges, capping existing gas at ranges, and the installation of new electric ranges. Work includes the installation of new 220-volt receptacles to accommodate the electric appliances, as well as upgrades to existing electrical panels to support the increased electrical load required by the new equipment. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the NEW BEDFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 02/13/2026 at 2:00PM EST . . The Work of the Contract consists of, but is not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall furnish/ install all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the removal of existing gas-fired ranges, capping existing gas at ranges, and the installation of new electric ranges. Work includes the installation of new 220- volt receptacles to accommodate the electric appliances, as well as upgrades to existing electrical panels to support the increased electrical load required by the new equipment. B. Work to be performed in timely and workmanlike fashion. All materials shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
