Site work for a development in Kent Lakes, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a development.

Proposals are requested from professional engineers to provide services for an Open Space Plan and Inventory. Proposals should be submitted to the Town Clerk at Town Hall, Kent Lakes, New York. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate and will be assured of non-discrimination regarding race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or marital status in consideration for an award. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality or technicality in any request for proposal. The Town of Kent, NY is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the qualifications-based procurement of an environmental consulting firm to develop an Open Space Inventory and Plan for the Town in accordance with NYS General Municipal Law Sections 239-x and 239-y, which directs Conservation Advisory Councils (CACs) to create an open areas inventory and map. Upon completion, the open areas map and index will be submitted to the Kent Town Board for adoption as the Town's open space index Utilizing a qualifications-based process, the Town will select an environmental consulting firm to develop this plan with guidance and participation by a steering committee consisting of the Town oh Kent Conservation Advisory Committee, Town employees, and interested residents. The project will be conducted in accordance with the approved workplan and in consultation with a representative of the Hudson River Estuary program (HREP)(Hudson River Estuary Management Program - NYSDEC). The Town has secured grant funding from the NYS DEC HREP in the amount of $40,825 for the "Town of Kent Open Space Plan Initiative" to cover the cost of the consulting engineering firm and the graphic design of a final report. The project requires a 15% match, which will be covered by town staff time and in-kind volunteer time by members of the steering committee.
