Upon failure to do so, the bidder shall forfeit the amount of said check or bid bond as liquidated damages and not as penalty. A performance bond, payment bond, and/or maintenance bond is required for their contract. Each bidder shall furnish with its bid a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the contractor with the bids required.
