This project consists of increasing pumping capacity at two pump stations, Chesdin West Pump Station (CWPS) and River Road Pump Station (RRPS). Each pump station will have an increased pumping capacity from 20 MGD to 40 MGD requiring improvements at each station. The improvements to the CWPS include installation of two (2) new pumps, motors, and two (2) new variable frequency drives (VFDs), and adjustments to the station instrumentation and controls. In addition, the existing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system will be upgraded requiring modifications to the existing pump station building façade. The improvements to the RRPS include installation of five (5) new pumps, motors, VFDs, switchboard, and adjustments to the station instrumentation and controls. A building addition is proposed on the northeast corner of the existing pump station building. The building addition will house the new VFDs, and switchboard. The addition will be air-conditioned space. In the exterior of the site, improvements consist of the installation of a 24-in diameter waterline for station bypass, two (2) diesel generators, a diesel fuel tank to supply the generators, and a precast concrete building to house all the equipment (fuel pumps and fuel polishing system) between the generators and fuel storage tank. The last day to request a site visit is March 16, 2026. Contractors will be escorted to the site by County personnel and no project questions will be answered. The Work will be substantially completed within 720 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 750 days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
