**As of February 13, 2026 project has been canceled. As of this time it is unknown if when project will rebid. The City of Adairsville is accepting proposals from qualified firms or persons for purchase and installation of an automatic backup generator to power the Lewis Springs Water Plant located at 87 Twin Bridges Road. This project will include the install of a new 500KW diesel backup generator system at the Water Plant. The selected company will purchase, provide and install all components needed to install and enclose a new 500KW diesel generator. Generator would be installed on a concrete slab with a level 1 metal sound enclosure. System also includes 2500-gallon fuel tank with rupture basin. Scope of Work: Contractor will be responsible for the following: 1. Build a foundation for metal enclosure provided by contractor for the 500KW diesel generator. Proposal would include excavation, re-compacting, and pouring slab. 2. Install a 500KW, 480/277v/3-phase Diesel Generator in Weather-Proof Sound Enclosure with 2500-gallon tank. 3. Provide a crane to unload and set the 500 KW generator. 4. Provide electrical conduits and wiring from generator to existing automatic transfer switch. 5. Start-up and testing of system after installation. 6. Provide training for system use. Proposal Requirements: The Proposal shall contain, at a minimum, the following information: 1. Statements of Qualifications including: i. General firm information including length of time in business ii. Proposed Project team including Project Manager iii. List all proposed subcontractors (if any). Including subcontractor personnel who will be working on the project and their specific roles. Subcontractors are defined as a third party, not directly employed by the Proposer, who shall provide services identified in this RFP. This does not include third parties who provide support or incidental services to the Proposer. The hire, management, and use of subcontractors is the sole responsibility of the Proposer. 2. Project descriptions and references from at least three projects with similar size, type, and scope. The descriptions should include whether the project was completed on time and within budget per the original schedule and budget; any discrepancies should be explained. Detailed, itemized costs, tied to the Scope of Work, and totaling to a lump sum contract amount, but also including key standard crew and equipment rates. 5. Proof of Insurance. All project inquiries shall be made in writing to Jody Maffetone at jmaffetone@adairsvillega.net no later than February 20, 2026 at 4:00 pm local time.
