The project includes waterline extensions consisting of approximately 22,255 feet of 4” and 2” PVC waterline, a booster pump station, and associated appurtenances along Mabetown Road, Straight Creek Road, Lone Mountain Road, and Bear Creek Road areas of Claiborne County, Tennessee. Bidders must purchase the contract documents from the Engineer and payment shall be made via check in the name of the Bidder. Documents purchased by one party and bid by another party will not be accepted. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of their bid and shall, before entering on the work, be licensed as a contractor of the Claiborne County Government. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided, and documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be submitted. Subcontractors must not appear on the SAM.gov disbarment list. Markups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. It is the responsibility of all plan holders, whether they have received digital downloads or paper copies of the plans and specifications, to periodically check for Addenda which may have been issued. Contractors must not appear on the SAM.gov disbarment list. The Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act is applicable. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
