We value the integrity of the procurement process, and in full transparency, the bid opening will be conducted via Live-Stream from the County Commissioner's Meeting Room. You can access the Live-Stream from the County's homepage at the prevailing date and time stated in this Notice to Bidders. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as will bid amounts. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted, as always to the Purchasing webpage once available. All Bid Addenda will be issued on the County website at website, and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23(c)(2). All interested respondents should check NB-2 the website from now through bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. The scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, selective demolition, cutting / patching, interior partitions, handrails, ceilings, finishes, flooring, mechanical and electrical alterations. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all. 1. Organization of the Specifications into divisions, sections and articles, and arrangement of Drawings shall not control the Contractor in dividing the Work among Subcontractors or in establishing the extent of Work to be performed by any trade. 2. In the case of conflicts or discrepancies between Drawings and Division 02-49 of the Specifications, or within or among the Contract Documents and not clarified by Addendum, the Architect will determine which takes precedence. 3. Generally speaking, figured dimensions shall be followed in preference to measurements by scale; and larger scale drawings shall take precedence over those at smaller scale. Question Deadline 02/19/2026 No oral interpretation of the meaning of the specifications will be made to any bidder. Every request for an interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, referencing the Contract Name and Contract Number in the subject line, at PurchasingDiv@somersetcountynj.com. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation and or clarification must be received at last ten (10) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
