Professional and/or specialized services related to planning, design, administration, oversight, review, or delivery of specific public works projects administered by the Public Works Department. Services may be provided on an on-call, part-time, or full-time basis, for certain ongoing and future project needs and may include certain elements of individual projects, individual project phases or the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout. Project types may include, but are not limited to, roadway and streetscape improvements, multi-modal improvements, asset management and condition assessment, storm drain improvements and flood control facilities, traffic and signal systems, parks and public facilities, environmental enhancements, environmental review, clearance and permitting, building and facility alterations, utility coordination and relocation, and grant-funded or high-profile projects involving significant community and stakeholder engagement. Core responsibilities include project administration, planning, environmental and permitting, design phase management, budget, cost and funding management, procurement and bidding support, construction management and contract administration, stakeholder, community and agency coordination, project controls, documentation, and reporting, and project closeout. Proposals must be uploaded in PDF format onto the City’s online bid management system. It is the Proponent’s responsibility to ensure documents are properly uploaded; hard copies will not be accepted. Proponents are solely responsible for addressing technical issues with the online bid system provider. Qualified vendors desiring local vendor preference must complete and submit the Statement of Local Vendor Certification as part of their response.
