Furnishing 5,500 tons, more or less, of Class D, Type I Asphalt Concrete; 5,500 tons, more or less, of Class D, Type II Asphalt Concrete; and 100 tons, more or less, of Bituminous Surfacing Repair Mix (Cold Mix). Bids must be submitted in accordance with the specifications and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the words "Bid for Asphaltic Concrete & Surfacing Repair Mix." For bids in excess of $50,000, a certified check, cashier's check, draft, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit is required, as specified. The bid security is payable to the City of Aberdeen and may be forfeited if the bidder fails to enter into a contract with acceptable sureties within ten days after award. Contracts over $50,000 require Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract, as per contract requirements. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty days after the bid opening. The Aberdeen City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid deemed most favorable and in the City's best interest after examination.
