Construction ofAK Warren Resource Facility Administration Building Women's Restroom Addition The work consists of constructing a prefabricated restroom building adjacent to the existing Administration Building. The proposed building will include a women's restroom with two stalls and two sinks, an ADA-compliant stall, a shower stall, lockers, and an attached unisex restroom and utility chase. The work will involve site preparation, connection to existing utilities such as water, sewer, and electrical systems, and the installation of covered walkways and accessible pathways. In addition, the project will include electrical setup to accommodate a future badge access connection, and all appurtenant work.All bids must be fully transmitted by the date and time specified . The original must be provided to the District within three (3) working days of the time of electronic bid opening. The successful bidder must file good and sufficient bonds for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of laborers and materialmen. Bonds for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of laborers and materialmen that are issued by sureties that are listed in the latest version of the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 and that are authorized to issue bonds in the State of California, and whose bonding limitation shown in the circular is sufficient to provide bonds in the amount of the contract, will be deemed approved unless specifically rejected. Each Bid Shall Be Submitted and Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond With an Approved Surety Company as Surety, Payable to Los Angeles County Sanitation District No. 2 or Other Authorized Security Provided by Public Contract Code 20784, for an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent of the Amount Bid as a Guaranty That the Bidder, if Successful, Will Enter Into a Contract Satisfactory to the Board of Directors for Completing the Work Contemplated. The Electronic Bid Shall Include an Electronic Copy of the Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, or the Bidder May Provide a Bid Bond Authorization Code Provided to Them by Surety2000, Which the Bidder Shall Keep in Effect Until the District Gives Notice That It May Be Released. Question Deadline 04/01/2026 Questions Concerning the Project, Plans, and Specifications, Will Only Be Received and Accepted via the Online . The Last Day for Submitting Questions to the District Will Be Close of Business 5 Working Days Prior to the Bid Opening Date. Bonds issued by all other sureties are subject to approval by the Board of Directors and must be accompanied by all of the documents enumerated in California Code of Civil Procedure 995.660(a), as amended.At the time of bid, the Contractor shall possess a valid California Contractor's License in one of the following classifications:GENERAL ENGINEERING "A"At the request and expense of the Contractor, securities equivalent to the amount withheld from progress payments may be deposited with the District or with a state or federally chartered bank as the escrow agent, who shall, during the performance of the work, hold such instruments in the name of the District, and return such securities to the Contractor upon satisfactory completion of the contract. The option of placing funds in escrow is provided to Contractor pursuant to California Public Contract Code 22300; should that law cease to be effective, Contractor shall not have this option as to any progress payment paid or payable after the date the law ceases to be effective. Securities eligible for investment under this provision include those listed in 16430 of the Government Code or FDIC insured bank or savings and loan certificates of deposit The District encourages participation in its construction contracting by all members of the community including Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) and Small Business Enterprises (SBE). The District has established an aspirational goal of 20 percent overall participation by such firms. Although such participation is encouraged, award of a contract is not based on race, gender, disabled, disadvantaged or small business status. *Modern Construction Management requests bids by April 6, 2026 by EOD.
