The City of Gainesville’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs manages approximately 3,200 acres of conservation lands containing various ecosystems. There is a need to hire a firm to conduct terrestrial invasive plant removal activities, including follow-up and long-term maintenance, to improve or restore public lands. Occasionally, treatment projects of upland native woody plant species are also needed for restoration efforts of longleaf pine systems. Contractual assistance is required to support ongoing ecological restoration and long-term stewardship activities.
