Site work for a water / sewer project in Cunningham, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project includes the replacement of approximately 3.7 miles of existing 4-inch and 6-inch asbestos cement pipe constructed in the mid-1960s within the Milburn Water District, primarily along Highway 80 and throughout the Milburn community. Additionally, it involves the extension of approximately 3.3 miles of water main along Highway 1371 to provide service to the Carlisle County School Campus. Construction will use a combination of open-cut installation and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) with 8-inch and 6-inch water main, and approximately 420 linear feet of 16-inch steel casing installed by bore and jack. The project also includes the installation of associated appurtenances and related infrastructure required for a complete and functional water distribution system.
