Marinette County is soliciting bids for the purchase of Hot Mix & Cold Mix Asphalt Materials for the 2026 construction season, which may include Local Road Improvement Projects. The estimated quantities are 25,000 tons for paving and 500 tons for cold mix asphalt. The vendor will provide Hot Mix Asphalt Materials of specified mix-types and a Hot Mix Asphalt plant with recycle capabilities and a minimum capacity of 250 tons per hour. Marinette County will supply asphalt emulsion for mixing cold mix asphalt. All bid prices shall remain in effect without adjustment until October 31, 2026. The requirements follow the Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction of the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, latest edition. The vendor must provide current mix designs at their expense, conduct in-house quality control testing, and notify Marinette County of any changes in aggregate sources. Bids shall be submitted with the required forms, sealed and labeled per the instructions. One original response and one copy must be submitted, including Attachment A (Bid Tabulation Sheet), Attachment B (Statement of Understanding), and Addendum Sheet if applicable. Bids must specify the unit price for materials, and the bid shall clearly outline the vendor’s capabilities to meet the requirements.
