Sealed bids are invited for Draper Elementary Exterior Improvements, which involve the replacement of all exterior windows and doors on the existing Draper Elementary at 114 N. Bethel Street in Eden, North Carolina as described in the Contract Documents. Bids will be received at 308 E. Stadium Drive, Eden, North Carolina. Bid Bond is required if the bid exceeds $300,000. A Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond are required in the amount of 100% of the contract price if the bid exceeds $300,000. Electronic copies of bid documents may be obtained online. Bidders are responsible for printing documents, or can purchase a printed set for a non-refundable fee, plus shipping. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Participation from small, minority, and female-owned businesses is encouraged, and no discrimination is permitted. The right to reject any and all bid proposals is reserved. Project consists of a former elementary school that is approximately 30,000 square feet. The building contains offices, classrooms, an auditorium/gymnasium, and other ancillary spaces. The exterior improvements for this contract include a full replacement of all exterior windows and doors on the existing building. A hazardous material testing report has been completed by the Owner and will be included in the specification manual. The Contractor will be responsible for abatement compliance procedures only as it relates to the window and door replacement.
