ALTERATIONS OF ONE MULTIPLE OCCUPANT TOILET ROOM TO CREATE (4) FOUR SINGLE OCCUPANT BARRIER-FREE TOILET ROOMS AND A LAUNDRY CLOSET. PROPOSED WORK INCLUDES ALTERATIONS TO AN EXISTING STORAGE ROOM SPACE. ASSOCIATED WORK INCLUDES SELECTIVE DEMOLITION, NEW CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT (CMU) PARTITION WALLS, NEW METAL STUD FRAMED PARTITION WALLS WITH MOISTURE RESISTANT GYPSUM WALL BOARD, NEW FLOOR AND WALL CERAMIC TILE FINISHES, NEW ACOUSTICAL CEILING SYSTEMS, NEW WOOD DOORS AND HARDWARE, NEW HOLLOW METAL FRAMES, NEW RESILIENT FLOOR FINISHES AT A NEW CORRIDOR PASSAGE, NEW TOILET ROOM ACCESSORIES, NEW PLUMBING FIXTURES, NEW CLOTHES WASHER AND DRYER, NEW UNDERSLAB AND ABOVE SLAB SANITARY PIPING/VENTING, NEW DOMESTIC CW/HW PIPING, MECHANICAL EXHAUST AND HVAC SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS, FIRE ALARM SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS, FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS, AND ELECTRICAL MODIFICATIONS. Bid proposals are requested for Toilet Room Alterations at Lawrence Intermediate School, including all incidental work in accordance with the requirements provided. Work will be part of a Single Overall Contract and requires bidders to have specific DPMC classifications (C009 Prime Contractor with C030, C032, and C047 Subcontractors). Bid proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number. Each proposal must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check equal to 10% of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000) and a Certificate of Consent of Surety for performance and payment bonds to be issued if the contract is awarded. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction in the listed classifications prior to bid receipt. Subcontractors must also be properly classified. The project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act and compliance with several state statutes regarding workforce and business registration. No bidder on state or federal debarment lists may participate. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive minor informalities in accordance with law.
