Site work for a water / sewer project in Anchorage, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes repairs and maintenance of two vertical aboveground storage tanks, Facility 737 (Tank 737) and Facility 738 (Tank 738), at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. All work shall comply with API 653 and applicable design criteria and standards, with the DoD Aboveground Storage Tank Standard AW 78-24-27 governing where conflicts arise. Repairs must meet the most current codes and standards, and the contractor shall obtain all required permits and review state regulations for AST repair. Required work includes repairing issue, receipt, and low suction piping; replacing thermal relief lines; removing the mechanical tape gauge; replacing tank level arms; repairing tank stairs; repairing the water draw-off system; reinstalling the tank ATG system; repairing the floating pan; replacing the roof manhole, inspection hatches, and roof hardware; repairing shell manholes and the center roof vent; replacing tank chime sealant and grounding; providing scaffold supports, dike access stairs, and a tank data plate; replacing tank coatings; providing a tank strapping chart; and completing a final API 653 inspection report.
