Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hibbing, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and road / highway.

The project consists of constructing a new urban bituminous street from 9th Avenue West to 6th Avenue West. The new street will have curb and gutter, sidewalk, and drainage pipes and structures. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bidder's bond, or a cash deposit in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposit of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of the bids. NO BIDS will be received after the specified hour and date. Any such bids received will be returned unopened. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interest of the city.
