The project involves the summer street resurfacing and milling program for The Village of Minerva, requiring bids for materials and/or labor. The work includes resurfacing various alleys, basketball and tennis courts, a skate park in Bicentennial Park, and municipal streets. Bids should specify unit costs, including labor and materials, priced by ton, gallon, or square yard for milling. Bidders must include either a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond of $5,000.00. Upon bid acceptance, the successful bidder must enter into a contract within ten days and complete all work within seventy-five days of the bid award, unless granted an extension by the Village. The quote should cover both scenarios in which either The Village of Minerva or the Contractor retains ownership of the millings. Traffic control is the responsibility of the successful bidder. The Village reserves rights to halt work due to weather, conduct independent quality/material tests, accept or reject any or all bids, and waive informalities as deemed in its best interest. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked for the Minerva Street Resurfacing Program and delivered to the Office of the Village Administrator by the specified deadline. This year's resurfacing program will be bid by unit cost including labor and materials to be specified by ton or per gallon price or cost per sq. yd . for milling .
