Bowen Engineering Corporation is seeking quotations from small, minority, and women-owned businesses (Disadvantaged Business Enterprises) interested in working on the Indiana American Water, Terre Haute Water Treatment Facility Project. The project includes construction of a new pre-engineered metal building to house GAC feed pumps, cartridge filters, GAC vessels, offices, restroom, and electrical room. Work includes disposal of contaminated soil, stone pier subgrade enhancements, modifications in the existing filter building (relocation of an existing pump, installation of a new GAC backwash pump, electrical modifications), and yard piping modifications (new raw water main and GAC backwash waste pipe to the existing backwash holding tank). The contractor must coordinate with the Owner and manufacturer for delivery, handling, storage, and installation of eight pre-purchased GAC pressure vessels and GAC media, as well as for disposal of water associated with media delivery and startup. Subcontracting opportunities include installation of all roofing removal and replacement, coatings, electrical and controls, mechanical, and process vessels associated with construction of a PFAS water treatment system. Work and materials to be supplied include coatings, concrete, pipe, fittings, and valves. Subcontractors must affirm compliance with bid documents and all Indiana Finance Authority SRF Loan Program funding requirements, including but not limited to Suspension and Debarment, disadvantaged business enterprise efforts, Davis Bacon, and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.
