Site work for a water / sewer project in Sparta, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes installation of a new sludge press at the existing wastewater treatment plant, improvements to an existing lift station, and removal & replacement of an existing lift station. Bidders must secure their information as to the condition of the site and all local conditions affecting the work prior to submitting their proposals. Bidders are notified that the price bid must include everything as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. No extra of any kind will be allowed unless ordered in writing by the Owner. The Construction Contract is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, and federal Build America, Buy America Act. Bidders must undertake specified affirmative efforts regarding disadvantaged business enterprises at least sixteen days prior to bid opening and comply with President's Executive Order No. 11246. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price are required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents.
