Question Deadline 02/18/2026 at 12:00 PM MT Questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer by email: david.l.watson@usda.gov The contractor shall construct a new well at the Negrito Fire Base to replace the existing well system, which was deemed irreparable due to a crushed drop pipe and fallen pitless adaptor. Work shall include but is not limited to: drilling, casing installation, surface prep, and complete assembly of a functional water system according to NMED Standards. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The well should be as close as to the existing well as feasible and should be connected into the existing distribution system. Contractor is responsible for all labor, tools, equipment, permitting, and materials. 3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks 1. Mobilization/Demobilization: including but not limited to - Equipment staging and transport to remote site - Pre-work safety planning - Final site cleanup and restoration 2. Labor: including but not limited to A. Drilling and Installation: - Drilling of new well to required depth (1000 feet) and as close to the existing well as feasible. - Installation of surface and interior casing - Installation of pitless adaptor, pump, plumbing, electrical connections, surface pad, fill material etc. - Must be tied into the existing distribution system 4 B. Testing, Permitting, and Commissioning: - Pump testing and flow rate verification - Coordination with COR during all phases - Water quality sampling (if required) - Permit application and approval as required by all applicable state and federal laws/regulations 3. Parts o Supply of some parts are coming from the previous contract in which some of well parts were purchased. These include the drop pipe and 5hp 10gpm pump. o Components needed include but are not limited to: 60 feet of 8" surface casing, 5" Certa Lock casing (800 ft), 5" Certa lock slotted casing (200 ft), 5" Vetolic Clamp, 8" cap, 5" cap, pitless adapter, and any and all materials needed to ensure the well is fully functional and up to NMED standards (incidental materials, concrete for surface pad, valves, piping, fill material etc.) o Ensure parts are new and meet performance specifications
