Renovation of a military facility in Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This requirement covers the removal of the existing Intrusion Detection System in Building 2721, Bay D, and the installation of approved replacement hardware to meet the mandatory Intelligence Community Directive standards for establishing the bay as a Classified Processing Area. The work includes removing the current IDS equipment and installing one Honeywell V5 Vindicator IDS, twenty-eight Optex ceiling-mounted motion sensors, and eight Magnasphere Battery Management System sensors. All hardware must comply with the Base Defense Operations Center Non-Nuclear Configuration Management Database Equipment Approval list, which authorizes the Honeywell V5 IDS, Optex SX360Z PIR sensors, and Magnasphere HSS-L2S-000 sensors for use in PL-1 through PL-4 applications on Hill Air Force Base. Only the specified equipment may be installed, as alternative hardware or manufacturers are not permitted. Due to the discontinuation and limited availability of the V5 Vindicator, SDS Construction is identified as the only base-approved contractor with the required hardware in stock and able to provide all components necessary to complete the IDS upgrade within the required delivery and installation timeframe. The period of performance is 60 days after receipt of order.
