This project consists of the construction of a new building for the Roselle Public Library District. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following bid packages: Cast in Place Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals, General Trades, Roofing and Sheet Metal, Aluminum/Glass/Glazing, Metal Stud Framing and Drywall, Painting, Acoustical Ceilings, Flooring, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC/Geothermal, Electrical, Excavation, Site Concrete/Asphalt Paving, Landscaping, and Site Utilities. Refer to the specific Scope of Work for each package for detailed inclusions and responsibilities. All bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name and bid package number. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate of the base bid and all alternates. Bidders must demonstrate the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment, financial and physical resources to fulfill the contract requirements. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and a labor and material bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. Sufficient insurance coverage is required for the duration of the project. The project is subject to State of Illinois Prevailing Wage requirements. Bidders are responsible for examining the bid documents and the site. Bids may be held for ninety (90) days for review and qualification purposes. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and amend bid documents prior to opening with reasonable notice to holders of bid packets.
