Site work for a water / sewer project in Norwalk, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of approximately 1,000 linear feet of new 12-inch diameter HDPE water main, hydrants, service connections, connections to water mains within intersecting streets, and appurtenant work. The work also includes abandonment of the existing water mains. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall be Department of Administrative Services (DAS) pre-qualified under the category of either "Water and Sewer Lines" or "Site Work". Bidders are advised that both the DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must accompany the Bid proposal for projects estimated to exceed $500,000 under C.G.S. 4b-91 as amended. Failure to supply these forms with the Bid will result in rejection of the Bid. The time period for holding Bids where Federal approval is not required is 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after opening of Bids. Where Federal approval is required, the time period for holding Bids is 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excluded after Federal approval. Question Deadline 02/17/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer via the Tighe & Bond, questions must be received by Engineer at least seven days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids.
